I had a very disappointing experience at Mahakal City Hostel. The room I was given was extremely dirty and poorly maintained. The bedsheets looked unwashed, the floor was dusty, and the bathroom was not cleaned properly at all. It felt very unhygienic and uncomfortable to stay there even for a short time. What made the experience even worse was the staff behavior. When I raised a complaint about the poor condition of the room and asked for my money back. they completely refused to return it. Instead of trying to solve the issue or offering another room, they were very unhelpful and dismissive. Overall the management seemed careless about cleanliness and customer satisfaction. I would strongly suggest others to think twice before booking a room here. My experience was very unpleasant and I would not recommend this hostel to anyone. I also noticed that many of the positive reviews here seem suspicious because guests are being asked to write good reviews for the hostel. This creates a misleading impression for people who are planning to stay here.
