  This place is a gem, and so are the staffs. Even though we arrived before they were officially open (opening time is 12pm), the staff kindly let us sit inside and turned on the AC just for us. The interiors are beautiful and unique with grass, animal figurines and faces. My 6 years old daughter was really excited to see all those. It's a good entertainment for kids. Now coming to their food. We ordered tea, coffee initially. Then ordered main course like rice, dal, mix veg, lime soda, etc. Food was excellent. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality paired with a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

  Very bad experience here, honestly one of the worst. We were a group of around 8 to 9 people. First the staff took our order properly, but when we asked him to repeat it once, he ended up bringing a completely wrong order. When we told him this is not what we ordered, instead of correcting it, he straight away said he will not bring anything now. This kind of behaviour was shocking. No basic courtesy, no effort to fix the mistake. Even the manager was there and he did not say anything, no apology, nothing at all. We immediately paid whatever was there and left the place. The whole atmosphere became uncomfortable. Taste of the food was also not good, so nothing really worked in their favour. Feels like either the owner is not involved or the staff simply does not care. With so many better options available nearby, there is no reason to go here. Would strongly suggest avoiding this place.

  Resturant is very close to railway station. We ordered Jeera rice (3.5/5). Matar masala and dal makhni was good. Tawa roti was perfect. The service was fast and the manager was very polite in nature. Everything is good. Recommended for a decent food.

  The Ramayana Restaurant & cafe is a vegetarian restaurant. The area is adjacent to Ujjain railway station. The service was average and food was ok ok. I had good hope after reading reviews on google but disappointed. The ambience is great. The service was average and location is better. In my experience I didn’t enjoy more. Hope they serve better next time. Go n enjoy

  I walked into the place with a lot of hope. The ambience was decent — perhaps good enough for a city like Ujjain. The food was delicious, especially the tomato soup — it was mind-blowing. I truly needed it after a hectic journey. However, the staff didn't seem to know where to draw the line. He kept talking, even after I told him I was tired. I believe it’s basic etiquette to give a customer their space, especially when they explicitly ask for it. I’m someone who strongly dislikes people crossing personal boundaries. What made it worse was that he kept praising himself — saying that the restaurant’s good reviews are all because of him. Later, I had to call my partner and have a conversation just to make me calm and to get rid of him to be brutally honest. When I finished my payment, he insisted I give a 5-star rating then and there, despite me saying I’d prefer to do it later. I’m not someone who gives Google reviews casually. Just to get rid of him, especially considering I wasn’t feeling well, I gave the rating — but I was clear in my mind that I’d come back and post an honest review later. So here I am, sharing the real experience. Pls consider this as a constructive criticism and wish you great success. Customers visit restaurants to enjoy their meals in peace. Some may be open to conversation, but not everyone is — so please check with them before flooding them with your personal stories.
