Located centrally, it sits roughly 1.5 km to 2 km from the famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple and the Mahakal Lok Corridor. The Infrastructure & Amenities The station features a distinctive, temple-inspired facade and operates 8 well-connected platforms. Amenities have significantly improved recently to support religious tourism: Facilities: The station houses executive air-conditioned waiting lounges, a budget-friendly railway dormitory, IRCTC food courts, and clean drinking water facilities (Water ATMs). Accessibility: Escalators and lifts link the primary platforms, which is incredibly helpful for elderly pilgrims travelling with heavy luggage. The Experience The Good: Cleanliness standards across the major platforms (especially Platform 1) are consistently maintained by the Western Railway zone. Finding local transport is effortless; metered auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws, and city buses wait right outside the exit gates. The Challenges: The station experiences severe crowding during peak festival seasons like Navratri, Shravan months, and Mondays. During these times, foot overbridges become tightly bottlenecked, and general waiting halls fill up rapidly. Pro-Tip: If you need a quieter space to wait during transit, head to the upper-level paid executive lounges or book an AC retiring room online well in advance.

  Ujjain Junction is one of the cleanest and well-managed railway stations I have visited. The station is well connected, platforms are properly maintained, and the overall atmosphere feels organized and comfortable for travelers. Security and cleanliness are commendable, and basic facilities like waiting areas, food stalls, and drinking water are easily available. The staff and railway management are cooperative, and the station becomes even more vibrant during Mahakal temple visits and festive seasons. Its convenient location makes traveling to Mahakaleshwar Temple very easy. Overall, a smooth and pleasant travel experience at Ujjain Junction.

  Ujjain Junction is a major railway junction serving the city of Mahakal. The station is well maintained, neat and clean with proper signages and clear announcements. The separate waiting lounges are available for AC and Sleeper classes. The trains for all the major cities of the country, including New Delhi are available. It falls under the Ratlam Division of the West Central Zone of Indian Railways.

  This is the station to visit famous Ujjain Mahakal temple. Basic station with no upgraded infrastructure. Very less space in waiting halls and cleanliness is not maintained even in upper class waiting halls.

  Beware with people's... froudy's r here.. normal safety... food nd hotel are in front.. outside the gate... awkward thing is people stares to others.. but place is great in availability of all needs.. go outside platform no 1 for autos and many more...
