  Pathetic food! Don’t go with the reviews coz I literally went there on the basis of good reviews but the food was undercooked. Dal, mix veg, roti, naan everything was undercooked. How is that even possible that all the ordered items were undercooked ? Won’t suggest it to anyone. There was a piece of small stone in the roti as well. Though they tried to cook the breads later but what’s the point of serving undercooked vegetables/food. Please don’t go!

  Very disappointing experience at Swaruchi Restaurant & Caterers, Ujjain. I ordered Dal Tadka, but it had almost no flavor and was excessively spicy. The Jeera Aloo was even worse—several potato pieces were undercooked, and the quality of the potatoes itself seemed poor. When I requested Tawa Roti, I was told that only Tandoori Roti was available. Unfortunately, the rotis were poorly prepared, with some parts undercooked and others burnt or overcooked. The food quality alone was disappointing, but what made the experience truly unpleasant was the staff's behavior. While paying the bill, I politely shared my concerns regarding the food. Instead of listening to the feedback professionally, a staff member responded rudely, questioning why I had eaten the food if it was bad and implying that I was being dishonest. Every customer has the right to provide honest feedback, and restaurants should treat complaints respectfully. Constructive criticism should be welcomed, not met with hostility. Based on my experience, both the food quality and customer service were far below expectations. I would not recommend this restaurant and hope the management focuses on improving food standards.

  Visited Swaruchi restaurant on 13 July 2026. Hotel owner and staff was completely unaccountable of the service and couldn't take constructive critisism. Sharing my part of story here so that anyone else should not be fooled by the Google reviews as was me. I ordered masala dosa, and it came with sambhar and coconut chutney with lot of water in it. I asked to refill as it was not edible ( watery). The staff dodged my request for about 10-20 minutes then I asked to manager ( the elder person with digital menu), he literally acted as if couldn't understand hindi. I understood that chutney may have been finished but this nature of waiting staff and manager was not appropriate. I shared the same issue with the lady on the main reception ( provably owner), and to my surprise instead of taking corrective measures she started yelling that " mujhe kaise pata chutney khatam ho gyi hai". Words like this from the owner, who is responsible for management of the entire hotel was unacceptable. A hotel with such great reviews on internet treats guest like this with zero accountability especially from the owner and the manager. The manager taking orders ran off after that incident. And after the incident the lady started making fun, laughing and giggling withe the waiters, zero professionalism. You don't accept this behaviour visiting ujjain.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a wonderful dining experience at Swaruchi Restaurant! The food was fresh, delicious, and full of authentic flavors. The staff was polite, attentive, and provided quick service. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a family meal. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are satisfying. Highly recommend the Maharaja Thali and Paneer dishes. A great place to enjoy tasty vegetarian food near Mahakal Temple. Will definitely visit again!

  We ordered Hakka noodles, but the noodles were extremely thick, and we even found a hair in them. The Manchurian was very disappointing—overly salty and lacked good flavor. The sambar served with the idli tasted more like plain toor (arhar) dal and was completely flavorless. The veg thali was also below average. Even the paneer kulcha was not good. We ordered several dishes, hoping at least something would be enjoyable, but unfortunately, every item was disappointing. We visited based on the positive reviews, but they seem misleading. The food quality, hygiene, and overall atmosphere were all poor. Very disappointing experience. We regret choosing this place and would not recommend it.
