  It was a wonderful stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet close enough to make it a convenient getaway. We stayed for a day in one of the Black Cabins, and absolutely loved the peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by nature. It was calm, relaxing, and exactly what we were looking for. The only concern I had was that the cabin couldn't be locked from the outside when stepping out. I raised this with the property manager, who mentioned that the property is covered by CCTV cameras and suggested carrying valuables along whenever leaving the cabin. While that may work for small items, carrying something like a 16-inch MacBook Pro every time we step out isn't practical. I understand this arrangement for tents, but for premium cabins, having an external door lock feels like a basic amenity. It would definitely give guests more peace of mind when leaving their belongings inside. The food was another highlight of the stay. It was simple, home-cooked, and delicious. As a small suggestion, serving fresh fruit juice instead of flavored drinks as the welcome drink would make the experience even better. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities. For a campsite, I didn't expect this level of comfort and amenities—it genuinely felt more like staying at a resort. With the addition of external door locks for the cabins, the experience would be close to perfect.

  Camp Monk more than exceeded our expectations! It was an experience comparable to the campsites we have stayed at in Europe! Vinay and his team keep everything running smoothly, very cheerful and helpful. They are also very knowledgeable and about wildlife and conservation. The food was simple but so very tasty ! Rooms are clean, cost and very comfortable. Even our pet doggy was happy to be there!

  Our stay was truly refreshing and peaceful. The property is surrounded by nature, offering a calm and serene atmosphere that makes it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Being away from the chaos of the city, it felt like a complete escape into tranquility. One of the best parts was the beautiful lake nearby, along with many birds that added to the natural charm of the place. It’s a great spot for nature lovers or anyone who simply wants to unwind in a quiet environment. The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Every meal was enjoyable and added to the overall experience. The property itself is well spread out, giving plenty of space and a sense of privacy. Whether you’re walking around or just sitting and enjoying the surroundings, it never feels crowded. Overall, a wonderful place to relax and recharge. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful stay close to nature. Prices are on little higher side.

  Rather warm during the midday April,May nowadays. No good tree area or covered area, except for the kitchen/restaurant area. Maybe a covered area with some hammocks, charpoys,air coolers / fans / a working water cooler would make a huge difference. The adjoining lake is running dry,but the Mariappa lake has water. The property is nice. Tents are warm & basic with a pedestal fan. Cabins are compact,air-conditioned & not really luxurious. Food is tasteful & sumptious. Chef Vinay is very friendly and passionate about his cooking,nice repotoire of dishes. Serving staff are young, very courteous & attentive. The attendant staff Sowri & Gynaneshwar are very helpful, courteous & friendly. Toilets need attention,though reasonably clean. Overall a good package,close to Bangalore if you looking for a Camping site.

  I recently visited Camp Monk with my friend, and it was such a peaceful and refreshing experience. The highlight for me was definitely the sunset—it’s absolutely breathtaking and something you shouldn’t miss. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a calm getaway surrounded by nature, I would definitely recommend Camp Monk. It’s a perfect place to relax and unwind.
