  I was excited for my bridal makeup but left disappointed. I have a dusky skin tone and specifically requested not to be made lighter , wanted a shade that matched my natural skin. The artist did not neutralize the base. My face and neck ended up as two different shades, and the pigmentation around my mouth was still visible. The foundation was patchy and poorly blended in several spots, and the groom’s makeup had similar blending issues near the eyes. The makeup was not long-lasting either.. it started coming off within an hour. The entire face makeup took 4.5 hours, which made me late for my own wedding events. Family members also pointed out how patchy it looked. I have no personal issue with the artist. However, her mother, who came to assist, was quite rude, though I chose not to address it then. Given my experience, I would not recommend this artist to brides with dusky skin tones who want a natural, well-blended, and durable bridal look.
